Tweets converted into charts. Not surprised that mine go way up during lunchtime, and tank during the weekend.

AT&T Offers Complimentary HotSpot Access for iPhone Users
So, it's good to hear that AT&T is committed to making the whole browsing-on-iPhone undertaking just a bit more enjoyable. Following on AT&T's official push to replace T-Mobile as the WiFi HotSpot service provider at Starbucks stores in the US, AT&T has announced that it will be offering iPhone users complimentary access to their AT&T WiFi HotSpots at all Starbucks and Barnes & Nobles locations across the nation.
Hard to find an Apple user who isn't a Starbucks drinker. This announcement should make a lot of people happy.

Microsoft Won’t Pursue Other Partnerships
Yesterday, New York Times reports:
Microsoft won't be pursuing tie-ups or takeovers to replace its failed Yahoo bid.
Today, Times Online reports:
Microsoft looks at $15bn takeover of Facebook.
What a difference a day makes.

Just something I know my sister, a dental hygienist, would get a kick out of it. It also doubles as a way to see if she even reads my blog anymore.

AT&T Email Hints at 3G iPhone Release
AT&T reps just got an internal email stating that they would be unable to take vacation time from 4/15-5/15 "due to projected increased traffic and an exciting new promotion/product launch." We’re only 10 days away from the end of that time frame and with no Apple event in the next week or so, it seems highly unlikely that a new iPhone will launch. Then again, the only other time AT&T has done this was last year before the first iPhone launched.
Wonder if Megan, my fiancée, is ready to inherit the first version iPhone?

Radiohead and MTV EXIT Collaboration
My favorite song off of 'In Rainbows' is used for the video to raise awareness and increase prevention of human trafficking and exploitation.
Recently, I was faced with a decision when buying some new running shoes. Should I (a) save a little money and get a pair of Nikes, or (b) buy the *American made New Balances. I spent the extra fifteen bucks and helped support someone in this country. It's also nice to know that the money is going towards someone whose earning an honest wage and not working in sweatshops like shown in the video above.
*Don't be fooled, though. Not all New Balance shoes are "Made in USA". Be sure to look at the tag before purchasing.

Simple concept: Extend the life of your pencil, extend the life of a tree. Great idea.

A $500 Million Week for Grand Theft Auto
3.6 million copies of the game sold on the first day. Looks like that's one industry we need not to worry about during these tough times.

A-Rod Passed Out at Daughters Birth
When attending an event such as this, the seats right behind home plate are not good ones to have. Go for the ones in left or right field where you know what's going on, but the view is not that good.

Minor Tweaks I'd Like to See in 2.0
I just wanted to throw out a list of what I think would make the iPhone even better than it already is. These are just little tweaks, not apps, that I'd love to see included in the 2.0 software for the iPhone.
Hard to believe that I've had the thing for almost a year now and that short list is all I can come up with. Did I forget anything?

Veerle Pieters shares her opinion on Flash:
This isn't 1999 anymore where the web was filled with splash screens and large intros you couldn't skip. It was Jakob Nielsen who said that 99% of Flash is bad and while he had some valid points his advice is always a little too harsh for my taste. But like anything else in life it isn't the technology that is bad it is the execution.
For the most part, I agree. Flash is a great tool, but needs to be used wisely and when it's not needed, should not be used just for the sake of using it.

Great list that I will definitely try to remember and use. Big fan of this one:
Skip rinsing dishes before using your dishwasher and save up to 20 gallons of water each load. Plus, you're saving time and the energy used to heat the additional water.
Where was this when I was younger and the parents made me wash every plate clean before sticking it into the dishwasher?

I agree, Hahlo is very impressive but I can't wait to see Iconfactory's version of Twitterrific for the iPhone.

This is the movie I'm most excited to see this summer. And by the looks of it, it might even become my favorite of all the Batman movies, although beating out the first (were Jack Nicholson played the Joker) is going to be tough.

Looks like I'm not the only one who would someday like to be added to 'The Deck', Jim Coudal's ad network for the creative, web and design culture. Until then, I guess I'll continue to use my own randomly rotated links and 120 x 90 pixel images on my sidebar.

No more randomly picking a color on the Muxtape homepage and hoping you score with some music of your liking.

When I saw these shirts at the Wizards game Friday night, where they got torched by the Cavs, I immediately knew it was a bad idea for the Pizza chain. Why would a huge company like Papa John's endorse and make t-shirts that called the most talented player in the league a "crybaby"? To apologize, they'll be offering Cleveland residents a large, one-topping pizza for 23 cents (23 is an homage to James' jersey number) on Thursday.
I'm not a big NBA fan and if I had to pick my favorite team, I guess I'd pick the Wizards, but I was kind of happy seeing them fall to the Cavs. This Wizards team is full of has two cocky, no-defense-playing, loud mouths that I can not seem to cheer for. One being Gilbert Arenas, who is a decent player when he's healthy but with blog entries such as the one below, just shows how stupid he can be at times.
Right now I'm telling the Boston fans: You guys are going to lose. It's not going to be a victory for Boston. You might as well just cheer for me, because Boston isn't winning in Boston for the season opener. I'm sorry.
The Wizards went on to lose that game by twenty points.
The other is DeShawn Stevenson. Ahhh yes, the player that made these remarks about LeBron before the series even started:
He's overrated, and you can say I said that.
A player that averaged a whooping 12-points during the playoffs and 11-points during the season has the audacity to call LeBron James "overrated"? I wish this "never-rated" player would do all us Wizard fans a favor and trim that stupid looking beard, keep his fingers out of his face and his mouth shut. Wouldn't mind seeing him lose that Vick jersey either.

I would feel a whole lot better clicking the "Follow" button if I knew the answer to these stats beforehand. Great ideas, Merlin Mann.
